Introducing myself and my journal: diaries from the silent voices!

About Me:
I am a single mom to Rutendo(Chimwemwe) Ashleigh Muropa who will be turning 18 months old next month.... I aspire to see grassroots movement taking control of the spaces available for them in my country and in the region as a whole....My role is to facilitate that process for the strong women and men in the communities who have so much experiences and stories to share with the powerful policy makers, but are not able to do so...I see myself as a catalyst for change...... I wish to see a world where people will no longer be afraid to tell the truth and not fear of being tortured or killed..... That's what democracy is all about...

My Passions:
travelling, watching documentaries and movies, baking,

My Challenges:
I have phobia for driving a car, I hate heights....

My Vision for the Future:
To be part of the UN family one day... to be an ambassador for Southern African community....

My Areas of Expertise:
facilitating networking, co-ordination of participation of movements in national and regional platforms, documentation, facilitation, communication with people

I agree with Fatima – Chimwemwe is so adorable. Your aspirations perfectly reflect the vision of World Pulse, which is to be a catalyst for change by providing a platform for the unheard voices of the grassroots communities to speak out from. It is wonderful to have you as a member of our community, and I hope that you will find PulseWire to be engaging, inspiring and thought-provoking.

If there is anything I can help you with or if you have any particular interests, please let me know and I will try to steer you in the right direction. Again, welcome.

Thanks Janice for welcoming me into the WP family and my sincere apologies for not having updated my profile, I am still getting used to the idea of being part of the WP family. I hope to improve with time. I am at the moment , trying to collect my thoughts around the constitutional process that was taking place in Zimbabwe and how women have been taking part in the process.I will be sending my thoughts on the WP profile soon

Take care and stay blessed

Proud mom

So fun to see this photo of your daughter showing us what a proud mom you are. I think you will have many opportunities to connect with Pulsewire members to further your expertise in facilitation, and being part of the UN family.

Great way to become connected is to post to your journal, comment on other journals, and join a group.

I too love documentaries and though not a great baker, my garden has yielded 100s of strawberries- strawberry muffins in our house this week. Have you heard of the new documentary Food, Inc that has just come out in the US? Seems very interesting.

I hope to hear more about you soon!

Best to you

Thanks Laura for welcoming me and my sincere apologies for not having responded on time. I am still trying to get used to the idea of being part of the WP family. I will do my best to keep connected to you. Should I get stuck, I will keep you posted. with so many things happening in my country,Zimbabwe, especially around the constitutional process , I have my own thoughts which i will share with you soon

Cheers and stay blessed
