"Time Out for Time In" - A New Wellness Series for the World Pulse Community - Free and Available Online

Welcome to the First Episode of "Time Out for Time In" - a new, free, online wellness series for the World Pulse community and beyond. Last year, I was involved in World Pulse's Voices of our Future Program as a mentor, and I had the opportunity to meet a lot of powerful, wonderful women from around the world.

I noticed that a lot of these women were in some type of caregiver or leader role, and they seemed to have little time to rest and/or restore themselves. Dedicated to a life of activism, these women were hard-working, passionate, and very busy individuals. And unfortunately, I also noticed that a lot of them tended to put themselves last, not making time for exercise or "down time" so that they could restore and renew their bodies, minds, and spirits. This observation made me sad and concerned.

If we are going to be successful activists and leaders of any kind, we need to start taking better care of ourselves first. It is my hope with the "Time Out for Time In" web video series, women like you will find the time and the support they need to start integrating wellness practices more regularly into their daily routine. Let me explain.

Each web video episode of the "Time Out for Time In" Series is kept short, about ten minutes, and can be viewed right at someone's desk from your computer. The episodes explore different wellness techniques you can use to help keep you healthy like breathing exercises, light stretching, and more. You can join right along in the exercises as I do them on the screen. Our first episode is called "The Energy Boosting Series." It is a particularly good episode to use for helping you on those days when you're feeling extra tired and need some support in boosting your energy and/or mood. Anyone can practice this short routine and experience benefits. It doesn't matter what shape you are in or how inexperienced you may be with these techniques. These techniques are beginner-friendly.

So, come on and give it a try. Simply click on the link below, and join along. There will be a new episode coming each month. Please share with your friends and revisit it again yourself every time you need a boost. Here's to our health!

I look forward to hearing your thoughts here on PulseWire! I'm also a 30-something woman interested in yoga and wellness. I would love to make a career out of supporting people in the pursuit of wellness and maybe one day open a women's holistic health center. I'm figuring out my path, so I'm curious about yours. How did you prepare to be a wellness counselor and life coach?
