A new Social Construction thanks to all writers in World Pulse

Women working together, women standing up to speak not only for themselves, but for their fellow women leaders and followers as well, this is the biggest achievement of our lives, for many of us. When I began to write in Pulse Wire, I wanted all of us to realize that we not only can work for our dreams, but to realize that we actually HAVE a dream of our own, tailored to bring about the best of each one of us.

What an honor I have had to meet these wonderful women, who do not tag themselves as leaders or followers, or good or bad, but instead they have chosen to listen to their hearts and do what is right. And are not afraid to show their support to one another.

This is, my dear friends, the kind or result we must all seek in our endeavors to make women be heard. Because it is hard to achieve, let us not fool ourselves thinking this has been 'given' to us from someone. No. The road to make World Pulse what it is right now, to build this awesome community where each of us can come and speak up with ease, helping each other realize their dreams, has not been GIVEN to us. No. We have all worked for it, as every time we wrote about the issues that we consider important, we have put one more stone to build up the foundations of this construction. And every time we replied and commented we glued everything together.

In a short time, we have developed our own social construction of the words WOMEN WORKING TOGETHER. Many of us do not realize the extent of this achievement. We will realize how big this change is in only about a year, though it may be done earlier, as the stamina of the women doing this work is superb. I say this because after this time we will be able to talk about tangible new ways of WOMEN WORKING TOGETHER, that will be rooted all over the world, based in this new construction.

Think about it, feel the pride. We must all applaud this new way of doing things. Just imagine that once, it was only a thought in the head of someone: Jensine.

Now it is in the head, but most importantly in the hearts, of this whole team of women leaders that write here everyday. I am sure Jensine didn't know she would help make a new social construction. Just as none of us can right now realize how far we have come, in such a short time.

Let us go on. WOMEN WORKING TOGETHER, is not a challenge anymore, it is a reality.

Women Working Together

Dear Friend,

Thanks for this!

Yes! When someone discovered World Pulse, he told me Olutosin I went to a website today where I saw women who are thinking just the way you think! immediatly I searched and saw women thinking like me but they are from different races, diferent color and fifferent age, but all working together.

Thanks so much for bringing it up, this is a reality we re facing and we want to breed the likes of Jensine in our developing countries too.

Yes Olotusin

I know we will see that work pretty soon. It is just a matter of time now.

We should all keep working to bring about each other's dreams.

Love,

Jackie

Hearts working together

Jackie, you summed it up perfectly. Already I see changes being made, programs moving forward, ideas being challenged, and lives being transformed. It is so inspiring to be a part of this incredible group of people who will not stand still when they see injustice and will not be silent when rights are abused. Where else is there such a diversity of members coming together around a common cause, standing shoulder to shoulder as friends. It is indeed a reality and a joy to behold.

Just wait

Wait and you will see how projects begin to merge, grow and reach stardom around here.

Haven't seen anything yet.

Love,

Jackie

Jacqueline's Messages

Dear Jackie,

I am truly sorry for responding so late to your messages but I was away for ten days attending a workshop which was back-breaking intellectually and physically. But I learnt a lot during the time and now the city heat is killiing me since it has been on for THREE LONG MONTHS. We had a reprieve for two days in the middle but that was in the form of the worst cyclone my state has ever seen and millions of people have lost their home and hearth and are literally sitting on the river banks waiting for relief in food and clothing.

My brother had a second heart attack in March and he was here for a holiday with his wife. He is seven years younger so I am constantly worried about him. While he was here, my younger sister also had a second heart attack but she lives in Mumbai - my brother too - so it is not easy to visit. She is back home now but has to tend to her little grandson without a maid because his parents have separated and his mother has walked out! He is only four and has just begun to go to school.

Keep writing and pardon me sharing my sadness with you.

Shoma, I am so sorry to hear about your brother and sister. Know that all your sisters here on PulseWire are thinking of you, and hope that your brother and sister may soon be well. We will hold your family close to our hearts. Peace be with you, with love,
Janice

Dear Shoma

Just this morning I was thinking of you! I was wondering where you might be. I am glad you are OK, but I am worried about your brother and sister. I read that heart attacks are the way of the body to tell you you MUST stop worrying about things and live differently. I think maybe a good idea would be for them to watch their diet, as I am sure the doctor already said, but together with that, they could also do yoga and perhaps change jobs. Sometimes you have to take drastic measure to recover health.

My prayers go for you and for your family. I hope your sister finds the strength to get along, as she has the precious kid with her. Tell her I think she is being an angel for doing this with her grandson. God will bless her for that. He will be her joy and anchor in the years to come. So, she should cheer up. Bad times don't last forever. Hang in there.

The cyclone is awful. We did not hear a thing about it here in Bolivia. I am very sad to know what happened. Let us know about the stories and the women there. We want to know how they are holding on and if we can do something, name it.

Love,

Jackie

Togetherness

I loved this post as it gives me a very nice and warm feeling, what I think Janice once called 'solidarity', that feeling of not being isolated anymore. It is a beautiful feeling and I hope many more woman find it, through Pulsewire or however they can. I believe it is how we will change the world for the better.

hugs,

Maria
