Hey there,

I like the name of your journal:) This is the right place for you! I encourage you to write a journal post and share more about your work as a social worker. Also, I want to know more about India. I've read a bit on women's rights NGO's , but I don't know that much to be honest.

your letter

Hi
thanks for your letter.I am delighted to know that you are interested to learn about india and our work on women empowerment.
In fact i started my career after just completing my post graduate during 1994.i joined an ngo in 1995 as a grassroot worker. My job was to organize community for meaningful alternate sourse of income at village level. I was also organizing rural tribal and weaker section women living in tattered economic condition into self help groups(SHG). gradually i got a place in christian Aid project,DFId project and other rural dev programs to continue my craze for helping have-nots in their hour of need. After working for about a decade i organized a team of women and registered a Trust to work for it during 2003.Now i work in this trust which is registered under FCRA, govt of india as well.
My sole responsibility here is to propagate its ideas and objective and work for rural upliftment.
As far as my country is concerned it is beautiful and full with natural gifts. it is worth visiting our country, meeting with people and looking at their faces reflecting smiles despite emty stomach! i dedicate my life to serve these communities living in adverse socio-economical deprivation.
We are seeking grant, donations and support under the banner of our organization to work for the deprived lot.
regards

A warm welcome

Share,

Sounds that you have discovered a perfect fit coming to PulseWire. Many of our members will benefit from you sharing about your work in NGOs as a grassroot worker. I can imagine that you will make important connections on the site and I am excited to see that happen.

I think you have much to contribute to this group called Visions for a New Economic Future. Give it a look!
