Hello to everyone,

As you may have noticed, we have recently changed the name of this group from the Voices of Our Future applicants group to the PulseWire Lounge. We thought this group needed a title that reflected what is has become, and it was getting kind of confusing having so many Voices of Our Future groups!

So what has this group become? We see it as a place for OUR stories, OUR hot topics, OUR knowledge sharing and OUR expertise. In sum, YOU are the heart of the culture that is developing on PulseWire! Keep your eyes out, as we will also use this group for future contests and opportunities to be published in World Pulse. The editorial team is as active as ever on the site and we can’t wait to broadcast your voices to the world!

Now we want to hear from you? Do you like the new name? Do you have a better idea of what we can call ourselves?

Some other names we brainstormed were:

- The Community Forum
- The Village Square (or circle!)
- Storyweb.

I love this clarity, and the idea of a lounge. I just hope there will not be many other lounges appearing on the site to confuse me:) This will ensure I maximize the short bursts of power and internet access that I feel privileged to have.Yes, I no longer feel so angry about the frequent power cuts and the internet disruptions - there are many more women who do not even dream what it is like to have that. So, I am blessed!

Dear Elsie,
Your brain storm was quite a fantastic one. I like the name. I hope with the many issues and contests,
the group will be what call "Hot Cake on World pulse". My dream for this group is one which every one from all angles of the earth hunts to read what is rising, happening to women in other parts of the world. Really, I find it the fastest means to tell.
I do tell my friends, Do not interiorise it. speak it up. Immediately the question they ask me is BUT where do we speak up?

Now, I will say world pulse has space, speak it up there. World pulse, womens psychological healer!!!,
World pulse,space for speaking up.

Hi I don't know if its sounds weird but I want to propose a name "Pulsewire Falcha", In Nepal, Falcha is a place in a community where people sit around and discuss their issues, concerns, problems and find a way out . As I relate Pulsewire with the concept of Falcha I would like to propose "Pulsewire Falcha"

I like the name PulseWire Lounge...a place where we can relax...but i also like the name Anjana has proposed...Falcha is a very Nepali term..and thats why we love it...

The name Pulse Lounge sounds good to me. We can relax and share ideas. It doesn't sound too academic and it reflects how practical we are. We are like the Greek agora. A public sphere where we come together and freely talk about issues that affect people in a democratic way.

I love the name PulseWire Lounge! It retains its connection to the World Pulse where it all began and the
Lounge suggests a place where we can simply drop our guard and become
ourselves--empowered women articulating our passions and advocacies and giving
voices to issues that mainstream media does not take up.
