Walking again

Tags:

This morning I took my second brisk walk, as the sun has been shining yesterday and today. The air is still cold, so I felt the wind on my hair. There was this girl walking almost beside me, and when I realized we were going to the same place, I started walking faster.... and I won the race! hahahahaha....

I learned a lesson today: I should not wear boots for walking. They gave me blisters!

I'll let you all know how this goes. I am having fun- strangely enough.

Love to all,

Jackie

Ha! that was an easy way of winning-Iam envious! Iam thrilled to hear you are having fun.Iam sad ,annoyed and concerned to hear that you are walking in BOOTS!!! why?? Hope you are not walking in jeans too.Hey!! You got to wear comfortable shoes .Comfortable I mean,a shoe that wont give you injuries when you graduate to the next level of jogging-try adidas.
Keep going we are eagerly waiting to celebrate your `graduation'

As we say in my country...

What do you eat that you figure things out so fast? (just kidding, you know).. Of course I was in my working clothes, not jeans but pants and boots! I need to learn to take some sports stuff with me so that I can change shoes and clothes that are more fitted for walking.... hahahaha

Thanks for your concern, dear Shiku!

Love,

Jackie

Hooray for you, Jackie!

I am so proud of you. I also learnt the hard way that it is very important to wear the right shoes when walking/hiking. I couldn't stop smiling when I heard that you won the "race"and just know that every time you reach your goal, a whole world of friends will be there applauding you and celebrating the new sole sista in you. Big hug,
Janice

Dearest Janice!

I didn't know you were a sole sista! It is so good to find so many good friends here!

Thanks for the encouragement!

Love you lots,

Jackie

Sole sista

Alas, I am more a sole sista in spirit than a real one like you. I ran half marathons when I was younger ( a long, long time ago!) but now, running is not really my thing. I am very happy to cheer on the sidelines (sorry Chiku!) so I'll be the Sole Sista cheerleader instead. How about that?

jap21's picture

Hahahaha

I will let Shikku or Consolata talk to you! They brought me in here with the promise of losing some extra pounds without even trying... hahaha

Don't stop cheering, though

Love,

Jackie

Sole Sister at Heart..Waoo!

Hi Janice,
I am so glad to read this post. Having you on the sides cheering for us is the most beautiful thing can happen to us. Know what, runners require someone to encourage them to go to the finishing line. We have done it because of you dear.
I promised that I will be sending some photos we took when we went to visit Kuwinda girls.I will be posting them to the World Pulse soon.
Guess what, we were accompied by a special guest....Araceli from USA. I believe you have been reading her posts. It was all like a good dream.
I even hosted her in my house. It was lovily... What a good networking we have? Long live World Pulse

Temple? Good place to be in!

Hi, wooiii...I am sad already. You had really encouraged me. Wont give up though. You are source of my inspiration.. Know what I mean? I believe you will be back at it soon. The running shoes you consider the sole, good ones sometimes Not always good looking but comfortable to walk in.
As our young one I would hate to loose your spirit. Let move together girl!
Keep on doing it even if its for a few minutes a day.
Regards,
Consolata, Comrade

Dear Comrade Consolata

I am back to the track today. I will be doing a good effort, and I have invited Janice to do it with me. Do you think she will join in? Let us campaign so that she walks too.

I will be reporting about this later today.

Love ya!

Janice our cheer leader

Jackie dear, we have all taken position. Janice want to be on the side clapping and cheering us. We need her totally. When you are running or jogging you need someone to whisper the words.. strong..strong.. I hear her voice when I am doing my runs. This makes all the difference. For you since you are our new born baby, kindly make those movements to the end. It will be smooth soon after you do it repeatedly.
Guess what, may be you will pull her to the field and many others sooner than later!. Go girl..go..
Comrade, Consolata

In solidarity

You all make me smile. I actually walk a lot and very briskly, having trained on the streets of New York where no-one stands still, not even at the crosswalks. I have continued to walk in Portland and hike regularly, but please lower your expectations as I don't run anymore. I went for a long hike this morning and I could hear Jackie, Consolata and Chiku cheering me on. I can guarantee that I will not be running to help Woman's Hope but you know me, I will continue to support you all in other ways. Nakupenda,
Janice
