Hi LeTonia,

Welcome to the PulseWire community! We are so excited to have you here as a member and especially as an empowerment coach for the Voices of Our Future program. I look forward to witnessing the empowerment of ma.chona lasaca as she works with you and transforms into a World Pulse Correspondent. And I know you will gain a powerful relationship in her as well.

I encourage you to be active in the PulseWire community as well - there are so many opportunities for connections here and I think you will find the experience to be positive. The best way to communicate and share your voice is to write in your journal, read the journals of fellow members and offer comments, or join a group and share in the dialogue by contributing to the group journal. Below are some groups that might interest you based on your profile:

Global Women's Leadership Network

Poetry and Other Writings

Global Music Forum

We welcome you with open arms and look forward to hearing more of your voice!

Hey there! It's great to have

Hey there!

It's great to have you here. I'm also involved in the fight against violence against women. Since my freshman year, I was involved with the bussy project, once a year we organized the bussy monologues ( we used real stories from women in our community about violence etc..) It was a great experience! I was also involved in a book-club and we read Eve Ensler's " A rant, A prayer, A monologue" It was soo exciting!

My mentor love letter (VOF)

Dear Wonder Woman (Melissa):

I cannot begin to tell you how excited and honored I am to be taking this most important journey with you. I am looking forward to supporting you in ways that you and I have yet to define. I firmly believe in the power of women and am in constant awe of our resilience, our strength, and our ability to love beyond measure. Your voice is so important and soon, I too will have the pleasure of hearing it as you tell your most important stories.
For you, I will hold space, encouragement, profound respect, and support. Together, we will make a difference not only for ourselves, but also for the communities we love and the women we have not even met yet. We are headed on a beautiful adventure.
Take care and again, know you have the power to change the world and that I am here to help you do just that, my dear sister.

In peace,

LeTonia Jones (Your VOF mentor)
