VOF week 5 and beyond!

Our Dearest Voices of Our Future Applicants,

Do you remember the time when this group was pulsing with voices, bursting at the seams with excitement and anticipation? We do! PulseWire was created for your voice and we have missed your presence these past few weeks!

Our editorial team is still scanning the site, looking for breaking stories, fresh editorial perspectives, and the poetry and vision of your unique voice. The fun did not stop with the application process. We can not wait to continue on this journey with you!

We invite you to harness the enthusiasm that just weeks ago was causing this group to burst at the seams and use it to propel each of us into the future. Let’s use this group to continue building the skills and support to launch your visions, stories and voices into the world.

With resounding clarity you told us that you did not want this group to end. We heard you when you shared the delight at having your voice heard, the thrill of learning new skills, and the desire to share and support each other. Throughout the application process, our team in Portland gushed with delight as we read your entries and witnessed voices and friendships blossoming. This, we thought, is exactly why we created PulseWire.

Thank you for showing us what the living embodiment of PulseWire looks like.

Therefore, and without further adieu, it is with great excitement that I unveil the evolution of the Voices of Our Future Applicants Group to you.

To encourage continued learning and dialogue, a number of our VOF runner-ups have agreed to take on two- week “teaching” positions within this group. They will play a similar role to the World Pulse VOF team during the application process by posting new learning material and writing prompts for the group to respond and discuss. Every 4 weeks, I will pop in to do a quick week of PulseWire specific training. The calender in the coming weeks is as follows:

elsie: 5/28 – 5/31
LUMA: 6/1- 6/14
phasy: 6/15 – 6/28
elsie: 6/29 – 7/5:
TERESA: 7/6 – 7/19
The Afrika Way: 7/20 – 8/2
elsie: 8/3 – 8/9
akhtarjournalism: 8/10 –8/23
Nelly 2.0: 8/24 –9/6
Sabiha nazli: 9/7- 9/20

Starting in September, we will begin a new calender, including anyone else in the group who would like to take a leadership role for two weeks. We are still open to suggestions and I will post more information in the next few days. We just wanted to let you know that we still think about you every day and are planning ways to raise your voices to the world!

Is everyone with me?!

Yey!! Bravo!!

Way to go Elsie!

Nice meeting you with such wonderful news. I have a BIG suggestion: Can you please, please get the people of VOF FANS to participate here? Can we make unite both groups so that everyone can do this? I am sure all the gals from VOF FANS will be more than happy to do this. Let me know OK? (Althogh I think most of them are VOF applicants too, uh?)

Anyway, let's put both groups to work together ok?

Love ya!

Hi Jackie,

Yes of course we encourage anyone in the VOF fans group to participate here as well!

Like you said, it seems to me that most members of the VOF fans group are also already a member of this group, so it should be easy! Thanks for your suggestion...keep em coming.

One more question?

Hi Elsie, I am also interested in this. But still confused what I need to do? Jackie Thanks for your suggestion. I think VOF fans members will be most interested to join this program. Elsie, one more question. Are future world pulse 30 correspondences allowed to join this program? If so let me know. I am also interested in this. Cheer up.

With Love and Regards

Thank you Sunita!

Thank you for you excellent question Sunita, I am sure that if you are confused other members of the group must be too! At the moment you do not need to do anything at all. On Monday, Luma has some excellent learning material she is going to share with the group, including a prompt to initiate discussion.

Hopefully in the coming weeks as this process unfolds, everything will become a bit more clear. This is not technically a 'program' and there are no requirements to take part. ANYONE in the world can participate. We want this to simply become a forum where each and every member can share their knowledge, inspire, engage and support all other members.

If you would like to see who is already a member of this group, please click on the members tab of the “Voices of Our Future Applicants” group page. You will see that you are already member, along with everyone who applied to Voices of Our Future. This also includes the current Voices of Our Future correspondents who are of course invited to take part in any group and/or discussion on PulseWire.

Please let me know if you have any more questions or ideas!
