Uploaded my picture, but...

Hi everyone, wanted to show my real picture since it is part of an assignment for the VOF but am kind of against pictures of me or my daughters online so might change it to an image instead. But wanted to show everyone what I looked like since I am a real person, though shy of showing myself online. It will be up at least until tomorrow though.

so, this is me..

Dearest Maria,
You are as beautiful and sensitive and caring from what we can see in this small snapshot of your life as you have shown us in your writing. I am pleased that you have shared it with us and I hope that you keep it up.

It still feels very freaky to see my picture online but I will leave it up for now but do so want to change it to an image. I really loved that default image since it felt like a soul singing and felt that was so 'me'. the girls always draw me pictures for Mother's day so I might find a good one and use that or let the girls Photoshop a picture so it is me but like in a 'Monet" or 'Picasso' look.

Were you going ot post your love letter? Or did I forget I already read it... I do come on late at night sometimes so might have already read it and just forgotten.

hugs from your good friend,

A face to a soul

Hi Maria,

It is nice to now have a physical image of you to correspond with your words. So now when I read your insightful and powerful journals, I can picture these thoughts and words coming from this beautiful woman! And now when I am back in Alaska, I will know you if I see you. I know that it can make you feel vulnerable to have your image on the Internet, but I thank you for sharing yourself that much more with us.

Warm regards,

It is usually back in a ponytail. I wanted to do one where I am wearing those beaded headdress, have you seen them and know what I mean? We have a very pretty black one but it is a bit tight so I don't wear it often. The girls tease me about 'my big head'.. Someday I will have both the money and see one and buy one that fits so I can wear it more often. I might wear it and take a new picture though since I think it is adorable.

Are you back in Anchorage often? I would love to say hi once! It is exciting to see a few Alaskan woman on here and we should try to all meet sometime!

My Dear Maria,

Thanks for sharing your picture with us, you are so beautiful, I thought as much though, because your words are so beautiful.

Once again great woman, beautiful face!

You are very sweet! I was trying for a very serious 'I am a Pulsewire Correspondent" look but the girls were smiling and I ended up smiling too. I am glad people think my goofy smile is nice though!

Maria, how funny that you are exactly as I pictured you, with long flowing hair and eyes that light up your face. I was very reluctant to post my photo too as I am inherently shy but realized that so many of us love a face to connect with the words. Seeing your photo has made my day as it reveals how much more confident you are becoming. So, please leave it up so that we can all enjoy your smile whenever we read your thoughts. Best wishes,

I am against me and the girls posting our images but also understand for the VOF that it is important for people to "see" me. I think I am getting more used to the idea though still feel weird seeing my picture there but understand it is an important part of my voice since it does help people to see the woman behind the words.

thanks for all your encouragement!
