Introducing myself and my journal
About Me:
I'm 40, married to a wonderful husband, and have a son who's 12 and a daughter who's 9. Enlightenment isn't something that happens on the top of a mountain. My enlightenment was a profound slap in the face! Life in northern Alberta was not all there was... there's a big world out here! I need to be a part of it, help it in whatever way I can, create change in as many small ways as possible.
My Passions:
Literacy and reading, cooking,
My Challenges:
Living in a remote region of Canada, travelling with a family, lack of experience
My Areas of Expertise:
literacy, child care

Hi!
Welcome to PulseWire! I hope PulseWire opens the doors for you as you explore around and read other peoples things, and maybe post a thing or too yourself!
What's it like in Alberta, in a remote country side? I live in a city all my life, so wonder what he country side would be like!
Well, see you around!
I've never really lived
I've never really lived anywhere else, so how do I explain something that I know so well! I grew up on a small farm and went to school my whole life with the same group of kids. My graduating class had 36!
There's a lot of space between places here. My family lives in a small town of 7,000, and we think it's no big deal at all to get in the car and drive for 2.5 hours to the big city of Edmonton. I live by one of the nicest lakes ever! Too bad you can't download pictures on PulseWire.
Compared to a city? I guess the main difference is the quiet... actual silence.
Next time I go for a walk in the bush, I'll pay attention and write about what's around me. Then I'll post it. I'll do that as soon as the snow is gone!... hopefully just a few more days!
Until then, thanks for asking about me!
Carrie
