War/Dance

Winner of the Sundance Film Festival 2007 Documentary Directing Award, War/Dance follows the journey of a group of Northern Ugandan students performing their way to the National Dance Competition in Kampala. Perhaps the most moving story is that of 14-year-old Dominic, a kidnapped child soldier who goes on to be selected as the greatest youth xylophone player in all of Uganda. Beautifully filmed and rife with poignant interviews, War/Dance proves once again the healing power of art in the face of immeasurable evil.
