Introducing Our New Topic and Region Pages

Welcome to our prototype topic and region pages! Let us know what you think of the new Gender-Based Violence and Democratic Republic of Congo pages and help us lay the groundwork for the future of our website!

What Are Topic and Region Pages?

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the content on our website? With over 19,000 members, there are many conversations happening at once. It’s a lot to keep up with!

We’re at the beginning of a series of changes to our website designed for you to find what you’re looking for. With Topic and Region pages you will be able to learn more about issues in your own backyard, find the resources you need to further your work or activism, and connect more easily with other members who share your passions!

In this alpha launch phase, we are introducing one topic page and one region page. Nothing about the online community you are used to will go away. You can still use our website the same way you always have—now with two new ways to connect!

Our First Topic Page: Gender-Based Violence

Last year we wrapped up our successful Ending Violence Against Women Digital Action Campaign, which united your stories, recommendations, and collective rising leadership to advance the end of gender-based violence. But the work isn’t done yet, and the conversation never stopped on World Pulse. We are now thrilled to have a hub to continue highlighting the voices of grassroots leaders and sharing resources and solutions for this pressing global issue. Keep raising your voice!

Want your content to appear on this page? Check the “Gender-Based Violence” box on relevant posts.

Our First Region Page: Democratic Republic of Congo

From the vision of World Pulse member and correspondent Neema Namadamu, to a bustling media center in Bukavu, the Maman Shujaa Hero Women of Congo have emerged to put the voices of Congo women on the map, make their dreams and struggles known, and to work together across differences to drive international policy. Today the Democratic Republic of Congo is one of the most active regions in our global network, and the women of DRC are a rising force in the world. Join the movement!

Want your content to appear on this page? Tag relevant posts “DRC”.

Don’t Forget to Tag Your Posts

Last year we introduced Topic and Region tags. We encourage you to use Topic checkboxes and tag the regions and countries that are relevant to your posts. The tags and categories you select will help us sort your content into topic and regional pages down the line. For more advice on tagging, click here.

What's an Alpha?

"Alpha" is a tech term for the first version or draft of a new piece of software—or in our case, a webpage. We need your input to make our website great! We hope you will help us make these Topic and Region pages work for you.

Thank you!
