As a mother I watch the militarisation of almost all key government agency in my beloved country.This is the result of the military takeover of the elected government in DEC 2006.I watch and hear my brothers accept silently that democracy will come when we do not know.I am the thorn in the side,advised not to speak on the T.V.Iam sure our late father must be turning in his grave,having worked hard to bring democracy to our nation.I do my best to explain to my nephew what democracy is as he sits and overhears our sibling debates on what is happening in our country.As an advocate for the advancement of women,our history of coups often hinder our work,but we are not defeated,we will continue to push on regardless'
