International Colloquium on Women's Empowerment, Leadership Development, International Peace and Security

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf

Join in the Virtual Discussion!

Headliners:
President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Mary Robinson, President Tarja Halonen

Coinciding with International Women's Day (March 8), women leaders from around the world will convene
in Monrovia, Liberia. The Colloquium, conceptualized in 2006 during the inauguration of Africa’s first female President, Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia, will bring together female leaders; heads of state and government; ministers; CEOs, presidents and executive directors; and NGO and community leaders. Co-convened by Johnson Sirleaf and President Tarja Halonen of Finland, the event seeks to provide a space for women around the world to discuss, learn, demonstrate, and act on the benefits and lessons learned from women in leadership.

You can participate too! Pre-conference dialogues leading up to the colloquium are open to the public. A three-part series of virtual dialogues will feature live interviews with Sirleaf Johnson, Tarja Halonen, and Mary Robinson, and will allow current and former women Heads of State to interact with a global audience of future leaders.
