Our team of volunteers lays the foundation for our work. We are always interested in working with individuals who are passionate about broadcasting the inspiring voices of women and youth around the world. Current Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers, Voices of Our Future Listeners
Join our evaluation panel to help choose the next wave of global women citizen journalists who will change our world.
World Pulse is seeking volunteers for Voices of Our Future, an exciting online training program in Web 2.0, citizen journalism and empowerment for 30 emerging women leaders from across the globe. Voices of Our Future Correspondents are trained to harness the power of Web 2.0 to broadcast social change news from the front lines of some of the most forgotten regions in the world. Our goal is to provide these women with the tools to amplify their voices and a platform from which they can be heard.
As women from as far away as Afghanistan and Bolivia apply for our program, we need volunteers to join our evaluation panel as Listeners. As part of this panel, Listeners will be asked to evaluate a series of editorial assignments written by applicants over a four-week period. Along with World Pulse staff and advisors, you will help us choose the 30 most outstanding women to join our program.
Criteria and Commitments for Listeners:
• Regular and reliable access to the Internet
• Ability to devote 2-3 hours per week to reading and evaluating assignments for a four-week period from September 15th to October 13th
• Ability to provide encouraging, constructive comments on applicants’ assignments
• Willingness to become an open, insightful and supportive member of our global network of women

World Pulse has ongoing needs in the areas of technical/web advising and consulting, graphic design / video editing expertise, and proofreading. If you would like to offer your skills in any of these areas, or have any other valuable skills you would like to gift to World Pulse, please let us know using the format below.

Translator Bank
If you are interested in being added to our volunteer translator bank, please submit a letter of introduction and résumé including your language skills, to info@worldpulse.com.
Our translators help bring more vibrant voices to World Pulse by translating interviews, articles, and posts for World Pulse Magazine and for our community site, PulseWire.
Healing Bank
If you are interested in being added to our volunteer healing bank (massage therapist, acupuncturist, reiki, chiropractic, etc) please submit a letter of introduction and references to info@worldpulse.com.
Our healers generously gift a healing session twice a year to traveling international changemakers and World Pulse staff. In exchange, Healing Bank volunteers are listed and recommended in our online marketplace free of charge.
