New Writing Opportunity to Have Your Voice Heard

For a feature in our next print edition, Earth, which showcases women leaders who are protecting and restoring the planet's ecosystems, we are asking women around the world, and their allies, to tell us what Land means to them.

This opportunity kicks off a new feature in our magazine called My Story. My Story highlights personal stories of women around the world describing pivotal experiences in their lives, in their own words.

Everyone who participates will self-publish their story on our social networking website, PulseWire, and 6-8 stories will be chosen for publication in the Spring 2010 edition of World Pulse Magazine. If your story is selected you will also receive a complimentary copy of the magazine.

GREAT OPPORTUNITY!!!

I THINK THIS IS A FABULOUS OPPORTUNITY FOR US BECAUSE IT WILL ENABLE US TO READ MANY UNTOLD STORIES AND THINK ABOUT THAT!

My Story

A limit of 250 words seems way too short for a story on a "pivotal experience."

Thanks for the feedback

Thanks PuriPedro for your feedback. Space is limited in the magazine, and we want to be sure to be able to publish as many stories as possible. We encourage everyone to expand on their experiences in their personal PulseWire journals if they feel that they haven't been able to share the full impact of their experiences in the word limit for official entries.

Thanks again!

Fine, this is the great

Fine, this is the great opportunity for showing the women and and their activities. But many women submitted their story and other article but they don't get proper response. It should avoid and hope their success.

Voices are Rising!

Hi James,

You're right - many women (100 to be precise) submitted amazing stories about their personal connection to Land, and only a handful will appear in the magazine. If only the whole world could read each submission and hear the voices of these women from around the world. However, all of the stories are published on our site and each submission has near 100 or more reads as well as multiple written responses. I think that's pretty exciting! This is the first time we've run this program - so next time will be even better and more voices will rise.

Thanks for your input.

Cheers,
Jade
