EMAGAZINE: The Global Girl Tipping Point
"It is time to help girls be a lifeline for each other, for girls to rise up and swim in a pool of unity."
In October 2012, the Taliban attempted to assassinate 15-year-old Pakistani girls' education activist Malala Yousafzai. In response, the world rallied to fight for the rights of girls everywhere to attend school. We honored Malala's 16th birthday last week with an emagazine highlighting stories from our Girls Transform the World Campaign, where we crowd-sourced the voices of women and men championing girls' rights. Malala proved that one brave voice can change the world—but she is not alone. Read the stories and solutions from grassroots leaders who join her in the struggle to empower girls across the world.
